Try not to get equal parts of each denomination when you buy a set of 1000. Instead remember to get more chips with lower. Of course this is a matter of rational thinking but it can also be easy to forget. To recap your number of chips will depend on how aggressive your players are and how many are playing. You need to have enough chips for people to bet high if they need. The range of chips is important, so lean more heavily on the lower number chips. The best way to determine how many chips you need is to decide on 500 as your base and add 100 to 150 for everyone over a group of five.
